Hawkley Hall Teaching School has a National Support School and as the lead school in the Rowan Learning Trust, a vast experience and positive proven track record in the support of other schools. Our goal is to provide high quality, targeted support that has a direct impact on the commissioning school’s improvement priorities. In partnership, we explore what specific support is needed and then identify the appropriate staff from within Teaching School, across the Rowan Learning Trust or within our Teaching School Alliance to provide that specific support.
The staff involved in school to support are committed to improving teaching standards and learning outcomes. As well as a large and growing number of Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) across all subject areas we can offer support in other areas including teaching and learning, use of data, SEND, curriculum, target-setting, CPD and leadership development. Our school to school support team has the benefit of including the expertise of a National Leader of Education (NLE), a Local Leader of Education (LLE) and a National Leader of Governance (LLG) This extra dimension of expertise allows us to be able to offer expert support in areas such as school finance, human resource matters, strategic planning, whole school diagnostics, pupil premium reviews and school governance.
