Learn from English leaders with a proven track record in achieving outstanding progress across KS3 and KS4, by listening to the story of their journey of success and adapt their ideas to your school context. Training to include - coping with current changes and challenges in English (11—16), Improving GCSE results - contributing positively to the progress 8 measure, transition – KS2/KS3, Y7 to Y11 – a 5 year journey (planning a KS3 curriculum ensuring students are KS4 ready) & assessment, marking and feedback leading to learning and progress, thus leading a successful and happy team.

Headteacher Training Programme (New and recently appointed headteachers)6 days2018/19 TBC£1995Headteacher Training Programme - for New/Newly Appointed Headteachers – Facilitated by Roy Halford (Chief Executive of the Rowan Learning Trust and a National Leader of Education {NLE}), Michael Gaskill (Local Leader of Education (LLE) and headteacher at Marus Bridge Primary School), Yvonne Brown (Executive Head of Tyldesley Primary School and Chief Executive of Leading Learners Multi Academy Trust) and Jo McGoran (Head of Hawkley Hall High School since 2014 and Head of Teaching School). With six full day sessions delivered over two terms, to include - Professional Influence/Values and Vision, Moral Leadership and Leadership Styles, Teaching & Learning, School Improvement, Distributed Leadership and Facing the Future. All sessions include Learning Study Groups and Action Learning Sets, which will assist you in untangling and resolving issues in your school. You will also cover the basic ‘nuts & bolts’ of the job, which will enable you to perform to the best of your ability.
